Odisha FC announces their new goalkeeper signing

Indian Super League side Odisha FC announced their new goalkeeper signing from I-League side Rajasthan United. ATK Mohun Bagan beats East Bengal in the first Derby of the season

The first Derby match of the season comes to an end in favour of ATK Mohun Bagan as they won the match by 1-0 scoreline at Saltlake Stadium, Kolkata. East Bengal lacked in the final third passes in the attacking area through the whole match. Northeast United FC announced the signing of ex Gokulam Kerala FC midfielder Emil Benny for the upcoming ISL season. Rajasthan United beats mighty ATK Mohun Bagan

I-League side Rajasthan United past ATK Mohun Bagan by 3-2 scoreline at Saltlake stadium, Kolkata. I-League side RoundGlass Punjab FC appoints Greek manager Staikos Vergetis as their new head coach ahead of new season.  pic - Staikos Vergetis ( credit - Google ) The man, Staikos Vergetis started his managerial career with Greek top division club Asteras Tripolis in 2013. Later in 2016, he managed a Cyprus club named Nea Salamina. After that he also managed several Greek Clubs in the second division of Greek football league system. The 46 year old is new to India and will lead RoundGlass Punjab FC in the upcoming 2022-23 I-League season. This year, which team will win I-League, they will get the direct chance to play Indian Super League next season.

Mumbai City thrash Indian Navy by 4 - 1

Mumbai City played their first match in the prestigious football tournament Durand Cup today and beat the opposition Indian Navy by 4-1 scoreline.  pic - Durand Cup social media Adresh scored the first goal of the match in 43 minute for Indian Navy. After that young Indian forward Vikram Pratap Singh took back Mumbai City in the game in the added minutes of the first half. Then Greg Stewart scored a penalty and coach Des Buckingham took back Vikram from the field and out Chhangte in the position. And that's the match turning point. Chhangte scored 2 goals for Mubai City, one in 89th minute and one in added times. And gives Mumbai City the win they need in the season opener.

FIFA suspends All India Football Federation

The Bureau of the FIFA Council has unanimously decided to suspend the All India Football Federation (AIFF) with immediate effect due to undue influence from third parties, which constitutes a serious violation of the FIFA Statutes. The suspension will be lifted once an order to set up a committee of administrators to assume the powers of the AIFF Executive Committee has been repealed and the AIFF administration regains full control of the AIFF's daily affairs. This means that India won't be able to play any international match both of men , women's and youth categories. And India won't be able to host the u17 women's World Cup this year. The Indian Super League and other domestic tournaments will continue as scheduled. But on the other hand, Indian clubs won't be able to participate in the AFC Champions League and AFC Cup until the ban is removed!

Indian Shot Stopper Sandesh Jhingan joins Bengaluru FC

The 29 year old Indian defender Sandesh Jhingan joins Bengaluru FC on a free transfer after he terminates his contract with his previous club ATK Mohun Bagan FC.  pic - Sandesh Jhingan He is one of the best Indian defender as of now, and continuously played for Indian National Football Team. Ahead of the new season, there was rumours that he might join at a European club. Previously in 2021 he joined a Croatian club HNK Sibenik, but there he didn't get any game time and come back to ATK Mohun Bagan in the mid-season. But ahead of the new season he was not in the list of ATK Mohun Bagan head coach Juan Ferrando. So he leaves ATK Mohun Bagan and joins Bengaluru FC with his fellow teammates Roy Krishna and Prabir Das. He has also high paying offers from East Bengal, but the player choose Bengaluru. 

English Forward Jay Emmanuel Thomas signs for an Indian Super League side

Kolkata -: The Kolkata Giants Emami East Bengal all set to announce 5 foreign signing for the upcoming season. Head coach Stephen Constantine chooses the players. The Asian foreign signing quota is not done yet, but it will be also done as soon as possible. Coach Stephen Constantine wants all the foreign players to be arrive Kolkata before the Durand Cup starts. Wheather it is not clear if the players will be able to play in Durand Cup or not. East Bengal to decide foreigners for the upcoming season

Newly appointed East Bengal head coach, Stephen Constantine is on his way to decide the foreign signing for the upcoming ISL season. As per some sources, Constantine is considering 3 players from Cyprus, Spain and Australia.  Ivan Gonzalez, the Spanish defender is confirmed for East Bengal. From some rumours , East Bengal is interested in a 28 year old Cypriot defender Alex Gogic. The player is currently playing in St Mirren, in the top tier of Scotland. Rahim Ali extends his contract with Chennaiyin FC

He made total three appearances for India in that tournament. He also played for India u20, u23 and for the senior national team also. He was in that team, which India won SAFF Championship 2021 in Maldives. He was the part of the AIFF Elite Academy batch 2017 and played for Indian Arrows for 2 years. Then he signed for Chennaiyin FC in 2019 and played 40 matches for them, scored 4 goals in total. There was rumours in the transfer market that the player could join East Bengal for the upcoming ISL season. But despite the interest from East Bengal, he signs a contract extension with Chennaiyin FC for two more years. 

Jamshedpur FC signs Indian midfielder Germanpreet Singh

The midfielder is a graduate of AIFF Academy and joins the red miners from Chennaiyin FC ahead of new season. The midfielder started his career at Dempo and then move to Minerva Punjab in 2017. Later that year he joined Chennaiyin FC. During his time at Chennaiyin FC, he played 55 matches for the club and scored one goal also. He also played for India u19 and u23 side and made his debut for senior national team in 2016, in a game against Thailand. Indian Super League side Jamshedpur FC signed former Gokulam Kerala goalkeeper Rakshit Dagar for the upcoming ISL season. India win SAFF U20 CHAMPIONSHIP 2022

Pic - Indian Football Team social media In the final match of SAFF U20 CHAMPIONSHIP, India thrash Bangladesh by 5-2 scoreline. The match was held in Kalinga stadium, Bhuvneshwar. In the first minute of the match, India took an early lead through a penalty shootout - scored by Gurkirat Singh. The golden boy Gurkirat Singh scored total 4 goals in the match, helping India clinch the SAFF U20 title. Also, Himangshu Jhangra scored a goal for India.  MD. Rajan Howlada and Shahin Mia scored the two goals for Bangladesh. After the early lead of India, Bangladesh scored two goals and take the match result to their favour. But in the 60th minute of the game, Gurkirat scored his 2nd goal of the day and take back India in the match. And in the extra time India scored 3 goals, two by Gurkirat and one by Himangshu, to beat Bangladesh by 5-2 scoreline. The player, Gurkirat Singh won the prize - the player of the tournament by scoring 8 goals in only 5 matches.
