Indian Football signed MoU with Saudi Arabia

Recently, Indian Football Federation signed a MoU contract with Saudi Arabian Football Federation where president Kalyan Chaubey and secretary general Shaji Pravakaran were present. They also meet the Indian u17 team which playing in the AFC u17 Asian Cup qualifiers there.  Pic - Indian football social media According this MoU, next the upcoming Santosh Trophy final round will be payed in Saudi Arabia and the u17, u19 teams from both countries will play each other twice in a year. Alongside this, India ranking in FIFA stepped down by 2 level. Indian National Football Team head coach Igor Stimac announced names of 24 players for national team camp to be held in Kolkata from 18th September. India beats Pakistan in SAFF Women's Championship

Indian Women's team defeated Pakistan by 3-0 scoreline in the opening match of  group stage of SAFF Women's Championship 2022 at Dasarath Stadium, Kathmandu, Nepal. Again after only 3 minutes, Anju place a final pass to Dangmei Grace - who sends the ball in the net by a simple touch. Pakistan had a chance to score goal from a free kick in 58th minute, the player Maria Khan hits the wall. Gokulam Kerala signs young Indian forward from an ISL club

The 21 year old Indian forward Subha Ghosh has joined I-League side Gokulam Kerala FC on multi years deal. He terminated his contract with Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters FC after having no game time for their senior team.  pic - Subha Ghosh ( Google ) The player, Subha Ghosh is a academy product of Mohun Bagan. Firstly he played for Mohun Bagan junior teams and then promoted to senior team in 2019. In that season he played total 8 matches for Mohun Bagan in the I-League and scored 3 late goals that season. He won I-League 2019-20 with them. Then he eventually joined newly formed ATK Mohun Bagan, but soon he was signed by Kerala Blasters on a three year deal following coach Kibu Vicuna. Last season he played for East Bengal on loan from Kerala Blasters where he had the chance to play only 3 matches. This year, he played for Kerala Blasters B team, which played this year's Durand Cup edition. 

Ex Indian footballer becomes new AIFF President

After FIFA revoked the on All India Football Federation, elections for new executive committee of AIFF were held yesterday at Football House, Delhi. Kalyan Chaubey, the ex Indian international and current BJP politician becomes the new president of All India Football Federation after beating another well known ex player Bhaichung Bhutia one sided election. President of Delhi Football Federation, Shaji Pravakaran will be the new AIFF Secretary General. FIFA suspends All India Football Federation

The Bureau of the FIFA Council has unanimously decided to suspend the All India Football Federation (AIFF) with immediate effect due to undue influence from third parties, which constitutes a serious violation of the FIFA Statutes. The suspension will be lifted once an order to set up a committee of administrators to assume the powers of the AIFF Executive Committee has been repealed and the AIFF administration regains full control of the AIFF's daily affairs. This means that India won't be able to play any international match both of men , women's and youth categories. And India won't be able to host the u17 women's World Cup this year. The Indian Super League and other domestic tournaments will continue as scheduled. But on the other hand, Indian clubs won't be able to participate in the AFC Champions League and AFC Cup until the ban is removed!

Jamshedpur FC signs former Gokulam Kerala goalkeeper and a young midfielder

Indian Super League side Jamshedpur FC signed former Gokulam Kerala goalkeeper Rakshit Dagar for the upcoming ISL season. The contract with Rakshit Dagar will continue till 2025. pic - Rakshit Dagar The goalkeeper, Rakshit Dagar had won two I-League trophies with Gokulam Kerala FC and also played for East Bengal, Sudeva Delhi FC, Roundglass Punjab FC previously.  pic - Sk Sahil  Jamshedpur FC also roped in Sk Sahil from ATK Mohun Bagan. The 22 year old midfielder won I-League one time with Mohun Bagan in 2019-20 season and was the part of Mohun Bagan youth team. 

India win SAFF U20 CHAMPIONSHIP 2022

Pic - Indian Football Team social media In the final match of SAFF U20 CHAMPIONSHIP, India thrash Bangladesh by 5-2 scoreline. The match was held in Kalinga stadium, Bhuvneshwar. In the first minute of the match, India took an early lead through a penalty shootout - scored by Gurkirat Singh. The golden boy Gurkirat Singh scored total 4 goals in the match, helping India clinch the SAFF U20 title. Also, Himangshu Jhangra scored a goal for India.  MD. Rajan Howlada and Shahin Mia scored the two goals for Bangladesh. After the early lead of India, Bangladesh scored two goals and take the match result to their favour. But in the 60th minute of the game, Gurkirat scored his 2nd goal of the day and take back India in the match. And in the extra time India scored 3 goals, two by Gurkirat and one by Himangshu, to beat Bangladesh by 5-2 scoreline. The player, Gurkirat Singh won the prize - the player of the tournament by scoring 8 goals in only 5 matches.
