FIFA suspends All India Football Federation

The Bureau of the FIFA Council has unanimously decided to suspend the All India Football Federation (AIFF) with immediate effect due to undue influence from third parties, which constitutes a serious violation of the FIFA Statutes.

The suspension will be lifted once an order to set up a committee of administrators to assume the powers of the AIFF Executive Committee has been repealed and the AIFF administration regains full control of the AIFF's daily affairs.

This means that India won't be able to play any international match both of men , women's and youth categories. And India won't be able to host the u17 women's World Cup this year.

The Indian Super League and other domestic tournaments will continue as scheduled.

But on the other hand, Indian clubs won't be able to participate in the AFC Champions League and AFC Cup until the ban is removed!

All things to know about I-League new season

Hero I-League, the second tier of Indian football structure, will start from 12th November onwards with 12 teams accross the country. Mohammadan SC through semifinals of Durand Cup after winning Quarter Final

In the first quarter final match of ongoing Durand Cup 2022, Mohammedan SC defeated Kerala Blasters FC 3-0 at Saltlake stadium, Kolkata. The Black Panthers are the dominating side in the whole match. Hyderabad FC defeated The Red Miners Jamshedpur FC by 1-0 score at Tata Sports Complex, in Jamshedpur today. Through this, the Nizam's made 5 match unbeaten run in this Hero Indian Super League season keeping Five clean sheets, which is the most by any team this season. Gokulam Kerala signs Afgan Midfielder for Upcoming season

I-League Champions Gokulam Kerala recently signed an foreign midfielder for the upcoming season. Farshad Noor, the player from Afghanistan will join the Malabarians to bolster the squad in their second consecutive I-League campaign. In his early days he was in Netherlands u17 team and recently played against India in Asian Cup Qualifiers for the Afghanistan national team. Indian U20 men's national football team head coach Shanmugam Venkatesh named 23 man squad ahead of u20 Asian Cup Qualifiers to be held in Kuwait. Ex player of Kolkata Giants East Bengal and Mohun Bagan, 32 year old Raju Gaikwad joins I-League side Churchill Brothers FC on a two year deal as per reports.  Pic - Raju Gaikwad ( Google ) The player started his football career Indian Arrows in 2010, primarily plays as a centre back but also able to play as a full back, is a well known name in Kolkata football. The Copa America Champions Argentina qualified for knockout stages despite the loss against Saudi Arabia in their opening game. They topped the Group C after defeating Poland and Mexico in their remaining matches.
