East Bengal signing update

The 26 year old Indian goalkeeper Kamaljit Singh signs for Emami East Bengal from Odisha FC. East Bengal pays the transfer fees for him. He will be the first choice goalkeeper of East Bengal for the upcoming Indian Super League season.

East Bengal set to sign 27 year old Indian forward Sumeet Passi from Roundglass Punjab FC. The player played for Northeast United and Jamshedpur FC in Indian Super League previously. He scored 3 goals for Jamshedpur in Indian Super League. He also played for Indian National Football Team. He is the favorite player of current East Bengal head coach Stephen Constantine, while Stephen was coaching India in past times.

Indian young defender Lalchungnunga signs for East Bengal for the upcoming season. He played in I-League 2021 with Sreenidi Deccan last season. For his good performance last season, East Bengal signs him this year.

Former East Bengal player joins I-League team

Ex player of Kolkata Giants East Bengal and Mohun Bagan, 32 year old Raju Gaikwad joins I-League side Churchill Brothers FC on a two year deal as per reports.  Pic - Raju Gaikwad ( Google ) The player started his football career Indian Arrows in 2010, primarily plays as a centre back but also able to play as a full back, is a well known name in Kolkata football. In 2011, he moved to East Bengal where he won Federation Cup, IFA Shield and Calcutta Football League 4 times in his 4 years stint with the club.  Also played for various Indian Super League side including FC Goa, Mumbai City, Jamshedpur FC, Kerala Blasters FC and for Mohun Bagan 2016-17 on loan, and won the Federation Cup 2015-16 with the Mariners. Indian U20 men's national football team head coach Shanmugam Venkatesh named 23 man squad ahead of u20 Asian Cup Qualifiers to be held in Kuwait. Jeje Lalpekhlua, one of the most popular football players in India, announced his retirement from professional football on 17th February, 2023. All things to know about I-League new season

Hero I-League, the second tier of Indian football structure, will start from 12th November onwards with 12 teams accross the country. The new 2022-23 season will be the most interesting and a game changer for the future of Indian football development.  Pic The 12 clubs will fight for the I-League glory, as the champions of this season will get a direct spot in Indian Super League 2023-24, on the basis of fulfilling sporting merit and clearing the Premier 1 Licensing criteria. Kerala Blasters defeated East Bengal by 3-1 in the inaugural opening match of 2022-23 Hero Indian Super League at The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi today. Former Mohun Bagan star midfielder Joseba Beitia has joined I-League outfit Rajasthan United for the upcoming season.
