Bengaluru FC reaches Durand Cup Semi Final

Bengaluru FC reaches Durand Cup semi final after defeating Odisha FC 2-1 in quarter final match today at Kishore Bharati Stadium, Kolkata. Roy Krishna gives this emphatic win to the team to keep Bengaluru in the ongoing Durand Cup journey.

In the starting of the match, Odisha FC dominated for first 15 minutes, Shubham Sarangi placed a shot on goal but couldn't beat Gurpreet Singh Sandhu. Then both the teams had several chances throughout the game, but anyone couldn't capitalise it to a goal. Roy Krishna, Sunil Chhetri misses plenty of chances. While Odisha FC also had some chances, but in 85th minute Referee showed red card to Odisha FC player Subham Sarangi and Odisha down to 10 men. And in 97th minute, the substitute man Sivasakthi gives Bengaluru the lead from a deflection after entering in Sunil Chhetri's position. He scored total 4 goals in the ongoing Durand Cup which makes him the special talent for Indian football in the future. And in 115th minute Odisha FC equalised - goal scored by Diego Mauricio from header. But the drama not ends here, in 121th minute Roy Krishna scored a magnificient long ranger shot and Bengaluru reaches Durand Cup 2022 semi final. 

Odisha FC finally ends their journey here and will looking to improve their performance in the upcoming Indian Super League season.
