The regular matches of Hero Indian Super League 2022-23 has ended on a high note, while 6 teams qualified for the next phase of this tournament. The top 2 teams - Mumbai City FC and Hyderabad FC directly qualified for semifinals and the other 4 teams will play each other in a knockout match to set their spots in semifinal.  Kerala Blasters will play Bengaluru FC at Kanteveera Stadium on 3rd March again this season. Bengaluru FC has a huge advantage to play this game at home and secondly, they have a fine form in the last few group matches. Kerala Blasters defeated East Bengal by 3-1 in the inaugural opening match of 2022-23 Hero Indian Super League at The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi today. Ivan Kalyuzhnyi, the Ukrainian star scored a brace in his ISL debut, gives Kerala Blasters the win they need in the first match of the season. In the first quarter final match of ongoing Durand Cup 2022, Mohammedan SC defeated Kerala Blasters FC 3-0 at Saltlake stadium, Kolkata. The Black Panthers are the dominating side in the whole match. The hero of the match is Abiola Dauda - the new foreign striker of Mohammedan SC who introduces himself to Indian football by scoring 2 goals in his debut game.  pic - Durand Cup social media The first goal of the match came in 17th minute when Marcus Joseph put a cross and Sk Faiaz place the ball through the net. Next in 59th minute Dauda scored his first goal, assist by Sk Faiaz. After that Kerala Blasters had a free kick, but couldn't capitalise it to a goal. And again in 84th minute Dauda scored a magnificient goal from Ambekar's cross. Abiola Dauda came, conquered and put Mohammedan SC in semifinal. The 21 year old Indian forward Subha Ghosh has joined I-League side Gokulam Kerala FC on multi years deal. He terminated his contract with Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters FC after having no game time for their senior team.  pic - Subha Ghosh ( Google ) The player, Subha Ghosh is a academy product of Mohun Bagan. Firstly he played for Mohun Bagan junior teams and then promoted to senior team in 2019. In that season he played total 8 matches for Mohun Bagan in the I-League and scored 3 late goals that season. He won I-League 2019-20 with them. Then he eventually joined newly formed ATK Mohun Bagan, but soon he was signed by Kerala Blasters on a three year deal following coach Kibu Vicuna. Last season he played for East Bengal on loan from Kerala Blasters where he had the chance to play only 3 matches. This year, he played for Kerala Blasters B team, which played this year's Durand Cup edition. 

Kerala Blasters announced their last foreign signing who is from Greece. Kerala Blasters Head Coach, Ivan Vukomanovic sees him as a potential signing in the place of Alvaro Vazquez - who went to FC Goa. The player, Dimitrios started his football career in 2009 with Greek club Olympiacos, mainly played for their youth team in first season then he moved to Panionios on loan. Then he returned to Olympiacos again in 2014. In a total 17 appearances with the club he scored 4 goals for them.  His most successful stint was to play for 2 Bundesliga side St. Pauli in 2018-20.
