Kerala Blasters made bumper signing of Former Greek International

Kerala Blasters announced their last foreign signing who is from Greece. The former Greek International, Dimitrios Diamantakos is all set to play for Kerala Blasters in the upcoming Indian Super League season.

The 29 year old player, Dimitrios Diamantakos mainly plays as a forward. Kerala Blasters Head Coach, Ivan Vukomanovic sees him as a potential signing in the place of Alvaro Vazquez - who went to FC Goa. The player, Dimitrios started his football career in 2009 with Greek club Olympiacos, mainly played for their youth team in first season then he moved to Panionios on loan. Then he returned to Olympiacos again in 2014. In a total 17 appearances with the club he scored 4 goals for them. 

His most successful stint was to play for 2 Bundesliga side St. Pauli in 2018-20. He scored total 20 goals in 51 matches for them. Also he played for Croatian club Hajduk Split from 2020-22. Lastly he played for Israeli top division club Ashdod, where he played 9 matches and scored 1 goal. 

The player also played 5 matches for Greece National Team and won the Super League Greece title in 2014-15 season with Olympiacos.
