An Overview of Jimmy Carter's Life and Career
Jimmy Carter is a name that is familiar to most Americans, but not everyone knows the full story of his life and career. Born on October 1, 1924, in Plains, Georgia, James Earl Carter Jr. grew up in a family of peanut farmers. As a child, he attended local schools and worked on his family's farm.
