The top 2 teams - Mumbai City FC and Hyderabad FC directly qualified for semifinals and the other 4 teams will play each other in a knockout match to set their spots in semifinal.  Kerala Blasters will play Bengaluru FC at Kanteveera Stadium on 3rd March again this season. Hyderabad FC defeated The Red Miners Jamshedpur FC by 1-0 score at Tata Sports Complex, in Jamshedpur today. Through this, the Nizam's made 5 match unbeaten run in this Hero Indian Super League season keeping Five clean sheets, which is the most by any team this season. Bengaluru tastes win in their first match of Hero ISL 2022-23 season, by defeating Northeast United FC 1-0 in Kantiveera Stadium, Bangalore. Kerala Blasters defeated East Bengal by 3-1 in the inaugural opening match of 2022-23 Hero Indian Super League at The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi today. Ivan Kalyuzhnyi, the Ukrainian star scored a brace in his ISL debut, gives Kerala Blasters the win they need in the first match of the season. Indian Super League side Emami East Bengal recently announced the name of 4 young Indian players to strengthen their squad ahead of upcoming Calcutta Football League.  Pic - Emami East Bengal social media The players are 20 year old Adil Amal. He is a defender and previously he played at college level football in Kerala.  Another 22 year's old forward, Vishnu TM will be the only forward in East Bengal's reserve squad.  A 22 year goalkeeper, MD Nishad who previously played for Gokulam Kerala and in Kerala Premier League, joins East Bengal to bolster their squad.  Another 22 year old young defender Athul Unnikrishnan from Kerala joins Emami East Bengal. 

Indian Super League side Northeast United recently announced many players signing including foreigners and Indian players for the upcoming ISL season. They already made four foreign signing. Indian Super League side Odisha FC announced their new goalkeeper signing from I-League side Rajasthan United. Kerala Blasters announced their last foreign signing who is from Greece. Indian Super League side Emami East Bengal set to announce the signing of 24 year old Australian midfielder Jordan O'Doherty. Later he played for Adelaide United, Western Sidney Wanderers. Last year he played for Newcastle Jets in A-League.  The player primarily plays as an defensive midfielder or even as a central midfielder. He can be a good signing for East Bengal this year. He will be the Asian quota signing of the team. He also played for Australian u-23 team, where he played 2 matches. 

Northeast United FC announced the signing of ex Gokulam Kerala FC midfielder Emil Benny for the upcoming ISL season. He already won I-League two times with Gokulam Kerala FC. And in 2020-21, he awarded as the emerging player of the season for his standout performance. He also included in 2020-21 I-League team of the season. He played total 32 matches for Gokulam Kerala and scored 4 goals for them. The malabarian also played in 2022 AFC Cup group stage matches for his previous club.  Marco Bulbul, the man from Israel will lead the highlanders in the upcoming Indian Super League. 

The 29 year old Indian defender Sandesh Jhingan joins Bengaluru FC on a free transfer after he terminates his contract with his previous club ATK Mohun Bagan FC.  pic - Sandesh Jhingan He is one of the best Indian defender as of now, and continuously played for Indian National Football Team. Ahead of the new season, there was rumours that he might join at a European club. Previously in 2021 he joined a Croatian club HNK Sibenik, but there he didn't get any game time and come back to ATK Mohun Bagan in the mid-season. But ahead of the new season he was not in the list of ATK Mohun Bagan head coach Juan Ferrando. So he leaves ATK Mohun Bagan and joins Bengaluru FC with his fellow teammates Roy Krishna and Prabir Das. He has also high paying offers from East Bengal, but the player choose Bengaluru. 

Jamshedpur FC announced the signing of English forward Jay Emmanuel Thomas on a two years deal that will keep him in the club until 2024 season.  pic - Jay Emmanuel Thomas The player is a product of Arsenal Academy and a versatile player, can play as a winger or even as a striker. Jay Emmanuel Thomas played in various English club like Arsenal, Blackpool, Cardiff City etc. He also played for some Scottish Championship club like Aberdeen , Livingston. His most successful stint was to play for Bristol City in 2013-15, where he played 82 matches and scored 24 goals. Kolkata -: The Kolkata Giants Emami East Bengal all set to announce 5 foreign signing for the upcoming season. Head coach Stephen Constantine chooses the players. The Asian foreign signing quota is not done yet, but it will be also done as soon as possible. Coach Stephen Constantine wants all the foreign players to be arrive Kolkata before the Durand Cup starts. Wheather it is not clear if the players will be able to play in Durand Cup or not.
