Northeast United are bagging players for upcoming ISL

Indian Super League side Northeast United recently announced many players signing including foreigners and Indian players for the upcoming ISL season. They already made four foreign signing. The players are Michael Jakobsen from Denmark , Jon Gaztañaga from Spain , Romain Philippoteaux from France, Matt Derbyshire from England and Indian players like Gaurav Bora, Parthib Gogoi.

The 36 year old defender Michael Jakobsen is new to India. Previously he played for PSV, Almeria, Esbjerg fB, Melbourne City etc. Last season he played for Adelaide United in the A League. He  won Danish Superliga in 2007-08 season. He also played for Denmark both on age categories and senior team.

31 year old Spanish midfielder Jon Gaztañaga will be the mastermind in the midfield for the highlanders in the upcoming season. Last season he played for Cultural Leonesa in the third tier of Spanish football. Previously he played for Spanish u16, u17 teams where he won 
UEFA European Under-17 Championship in 2008. In his times at AEL Limassol he won the Cypriot Cup ( 2018-19). 

Northeast United signed another midfielder from France, Romain Philippoteaux, he is a versatile player can play in multiple positions like winger or midfielder. Last season he played for Dijon in League 2 where he scored 4 goals in 23 matches. He could be a vital asset for Northeast United in the attacking third. 

The 36 year old striker from England Matt Derbyshire is a profilic goalscorer. He played for various European clubs. His most successful stint was came in 2016-20 for Cypriot culb Omonia where he scored total 62 goals in 113 matches. Lastly he played for AEK Larnaca. He will be the main striker for Northeast in the upcoming season. 

The Indian Gaurav Bora is set to play for Northeast United after terminating his contract with Odisha FC. Another young Indian forward Parthib Gogoi is signed for them after he made good performance for Indian u17 team in SAFF Championship. Under the guidance of Israeli head coach Marco Bulbul Northeast United will look to giving a good performance in the upcoming ISL season.

Indian Shot Stopper Sandesh Jhingan joins Bengaluru FC

The 29 year old Indian defender Sandesh Jhingan joins Bengaluru FC on a free transfer after he terminates his contract with his previous club ATK Mohun Bagan FC.  pic - Sandesh Jhingan He is one of the best Indian defender as of now, and continuously played for Indian National Football Team. Ahead of the new season, there was rumours that he might join at a European club. Former East Bengal player joins I-League team

Mohammadan SC through semifinals of Durand Cup after winning Quarter Final

In the first quarter final match of ongoing Durand Cup 2022, Mohammedan SC defeated Kerala Blasters FC 3-0 at Saltlake stadium, Kolkata. The Black Panthers are the dominating side in the whole match. The hero of the match is Abiola Dauda - the new foreign striker of Mohammedan SC who introduces himself to Indian football by scoring 2 goals in his debut game.  pic - Durand Cup social media The first goal of the match came in 17th minute when Marcus Joseph put a cross and Sk Faiaz place the ball through the net. Jamshedpur FC signs Indian midfielder Germanpreet Singh

 Pic - Germanpreet Singh Indian Super League side Jamshedpur FC roped in Indian midfielder Germanpreet Singh for the upcoming ISL season. The midfielder is a graduate of AIFF Academy and joins the red miners from Chennaiyin FC ahead of new season. The midfielder started his career at Dempo and then move to Minerva Punjab in 2017. Later that year he joined Chennaiyin FC. During his time at Chennaiyin FC, he played 55 matches for the club and scored one goal also. He also played for India u19 and u23 side and made his debut for senior national team in 2016, in a game against Thailand.
