Mumbai City thrash Indian Navy by 4 - 1

Mumbai City played their first match in the prestigious football tournament Durand Cup today and beat the opposition Indian Navy by 4-1 scoreline.

Adresh scored the first goal of the match in 43 minute for Indian Navy. After that young Indian forward Vikram Pratap Singh took back Mumbai City in the game in the added minutes of the first half. Then Greg Stewart scored a penalty and coach Des Buckingham took back Vikram from the field and out Chhangte in the position. And that's the match turning point. Chhangte scored 2 goals for Mubai City, one in 89th minute and one in added times. And gives Mumbai City the win they need in the season opener.

The 26 year old Indian goalkeeper Kamaljit Singh signs for Emami East Bengal from Odisha FC. East Bengal pays the transfer fees for him. Former East Bengal player joins I-League team

Ex player of Kolkata Giants East Bengal and Mohun Bagan, 32 year old Raju Gaikwad joins I-League side Churchill Brothers FC on a two year deal as per reports.  Pic - Raju Gaikwad ( Google ) The player started his football career Indian Arrows in 2010, primarily plays as a centre back but also able to play as a full back, is a well known name in Kolkata football. In 2011, he moved to East Bengal where he won Federation Cup, IFA Shield and Calcutta Football League 4 times in his 4 years stint with the club.  Also played for various Indian Super League side including FC Goa, Mumbai City, Jamshedpur FC, Kerala Blasters FC and for Mohun Bagan 2016-17 on loan, and won the Federation Cup 2015-16 with the Mariners. After missing the 2018 edition of world cup, this time in Qatar, Netherlands started their campaign with two wins against Qatar and Senegal and one draw against Equador.
