Bengaluru FC wins their first match of ISL 2022-23

Bengaluru tastes win in their first match of Hero ISL 2022-23 season, by defeating Northeast United FC 1-0 in Kantiveera Stadium, Bangalore. While one decision will be in question of referee on which Northeast players are demanding goal in the end of the match.

Bengaluru FC had most of the possession of ball, while Northeast played  mostly on counter attacks. Sivasakthi, Jithin, Sunil Chhetri players from both teams had the chances to score goals. But no one cannot break the deadlock. Sunil Chhetri misses one free kick, one long ranger shot while Northeast players Jithin missed only a tap-in with the ball in his debut in Indian Super League. Bruno Ramirez took one shot on target in the starting of the match. Another young player Emil Benny substituted before the half time for injury, who also gets his ISL debue today. 

The story remains same in the second half. Chances created, but didn't convert to a goal. In 86th minute defender Alan Costa breaks the deadlock, by scoring a thumping header for Javi Hernandez's corner kick. Once Parthib Gogoi's shot hit the Bengaluru crossbar and in the extra time referee disallowed long ranger goal of Jon Gaztañaga for offside reason of other team players and showed red card to Northeast head coach Marco Balbul.

The game ends in Bengaluru's favour, while Northeast will be looking to improve their attacking passes, crosses and midfield in the next matches.
