FIFA suspends All India Football Federation

The Bureau of the FIFA Council has unanimously decided to suspend the All India Football Federation (AIFF) with immediate effect due to undue influence from third parties, which constitutes a serious violation of the FIFA Statutes.

The suspension will be lifted once an order to set up a committee of administrators to assume the powers of the AIFF Executive Committee has been repealed and the AIFF administration regains full control of the AIFF's daily affairs.

This means that India won't be able to play any international match both of men , women's and youth categories. And India won't be able to host the u17 women's World Cup this year.

The Indian Super League and other domestic tournaments will continue as scheduled.

But on the other hand, Indian clubs won't be able to participate in the AFC Champions League and AFC Cup until the ban is removed!

Hero I-League, the second tier of Indian football structure, will start from 12th November onwards with 12 teams accross the country.
