Rahim Ali extends his contract with Chennaiyin FC

The young Indian forward Rahim Ali all set to extend his contract with Chennaiyin FC, which runs until 2024.

The 22 year old forward, played in the FIFA U17 World Cup 2017, which was held in India. He made total three appearances for India in that tournament. He also played for India u20, u23 and for the senior national team also. He was in that team, which India won SAFF Championship 2021 in Maldives.

He was the part of the AIFF Elite Academy batch 2017 and played for Indian Arrows for 2 years. Then he signed for Chennaiyin FC in 2019 and played 40 matches for them, scored 4 goals in total. There was rumours in the transfer market that the player could join East Bengal for the upcoming ISL season. But despite the interest from East Bengal, he signs a contract extension with Chennaiyin FC for two more years.
