Mohammedan SC announces their squad for the upcoming season

Kolkata based I-League side Mohammedan SC announced their squad for the upcoming football season. Head Coach Andrey Chernyshov named 27 men squad ahead of the new season.

Indian Shot Stopper Sandesh Jhingan joins Bengaluru FC

The 29 year old Indian defender Sandesh Jhingan joins Bengaluru FC on a free transfer after he terminates his contract with his previous club ATK Mohun Bagan FC.  pic - Sandesh Jhingan He is one of the best Indian defender as of now, and continuously played for Indian National Football Team. Ahead of the new season, there was rumours that he might join at a European club. Previously in 2021 he joined a Croatian club HNK Sibenik, but there he didn't get any game time and come back to ATK Mohun Bagan in the mid-season. But ahead of the new season he was not in the list of ATK Mohun Bagan head coach Juan Ferrando. So he leaves ATK Mohun Bagan and joins Bengaluru FC with his fellow teammates Roy Krishna and Prabir Das. He has also high paying offers from East Bengal, but the player choose Bengaluru.

Ex player of Kolkata Giants East Bengal and Mohun Bagan, 32 year old Raju Gaikwad joins I-League side Churchill Brothers FC on a two year deal as per reports.  Pic - Raju Gaikwad ( Google ) The player started his football career Indian Arrows in 2010, primarily plays as a centre back but also able to play as a full back, is a well known name in Kolkata football. In 2011, he moved to East Bengal where he won Federation Cup, IFA Shield and Calcutta Football League 4 times in his 4 years stint with the club.  Also played for various Indian Super League side including FC Goa, Mumbai City, Jamshedpur FC, Kerala Blasters FC and for Mohun Bagan 2016-17 on loan, and won the Federation Cup 2015-16 with the Mariners. Mohammadan SC through semifinals of Durand Cup after winning Quarter Final

In the first quarter final match of ongoing Durand Cup 2022, Mohammedan SC defeated Kerala Blasters FC 3-0 at Saltlake stadium, Kolkata. The Black Panthers are the dominating side in the whole match. The hero of the match is Abiola Dauda - the new foreign striker of Mohammedan SC who introduces himself to Indian football by scoring 2 goals in his debut game.  pic - Durand Cup social media The first goal of the match came in 17th minute when Marcus Joseph put a cross and Sk Faiaz place the ball through the net. Next in 59th minute Dauda scored his first goal, assist by Sk Faiaz. After that Kerala Blasters had a free kick, but couldn't capitalise it to a goal. And again in 84th minute Dauda scored a magnificient goal from Ambekar's cross. Abiola Dauda came, conquered and put Mohammedan SC in semifinal. Jamshedpur FC signs Indian midfielder Germanpreet Singh

 Pic - Germanpreet Singh Indian Super League side Jamshedpur FC roped in Indian midfielder Germanpreet Singh for the upcoming ISL season. The midfielder is a graduate of AIFF Academy and joins the red miners from Chennaiyin FC ahead of new season. The midfielder started his career at Dempo and then move to Minerva Punjab in 2017. Later that year he joined Chennaiyin FC. During his time at Chennaiyin FC, he played 55 matches for the club and scored one goal also. He also played for India u19 and u23 side and made his debut for senior national team in 2016, in a game against Thailand.
