India holds Panama in a 1-1 draw at Kanteerava

Indian national football team secured a hard fought draw against the world cuppers Panama this evening at Kanteerava stadium, Bengaluru. The scoreline is 1-1, with the Bengaluru FC forward Ryan Williams scoring the only goal for the Blue Tigers. Left back Akash Mishra sends a pass out numbering the Panama's defence and Ryan holds that ball with an excellent first touch and scored with the second touch at the far post at 41 minutes. India goes on to the half time with that solo goal lead.

However things started to change slightly in the second half, when Panama fielded few experienced players who last featured in the FIFA World Cup 2026, but the Blue Tigers didn't hold back, they created their moments throughout the game. Although, at 68th minute, Omar scored a straight long rangers, beating Indian keeper Gurpreet Singh and finds the back of the net.
India then brings on Thapa, Sahal and Edmund who further made few attacks where it seems that the Panama's defence were off the mark. Sahal at the extra time finds Manvir between the two opposition centre duo, how Manvir failed to convert the chance. This the match ends with a 1-1 stalemate. And this performance against a top 50 ranked nation, who plays in the World Cup, is very big for the Indian squad and they can take this and use this experience in the next match against another World Cup playing team, Brazil on October 3, ar the Saltlake Stadium, Kolkata.

Gokulam Kerala signs Afgan Midfielder for Upcoming season

I-League Champions Gokulam Kerala recently signed an foreign midfielder for the upcoming season. Farshad Noor, the player from Afghanistan will join the Malabarians to bolster the squad in their second consecutive I-League campaign. In his early days he was in Netherlands u17 team and recently played against India in Asian Cup Qualifiers for the Afghanistan national team. India to play Panama in FIFA International Friendly

Indian national football team set to play a friendly match against Panama, who last featured in the FIFA World Cup 2026, at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on September 25. The Blue Tigers is gearing up for this intense clash against the world cuppers, while head coach Khalid Jamil dropped two of the most experienced defenders (Sandesh Jhinghan, Rahul Bheke) for the international break. Mumbai City thrash Indian Navy by 4 - 1

India announced squad for U20 Asian Cup Qualifiers

Indian U20 men's national football team head coach Shanmugam Venkatesh named 23 man squad ahead of u20 Asian Cup Qualifiers to be held in Kuwait. Indian Football signed MoU with Saudi Arabia

Recently, Indian Football Federation signed a MoU contract with Saudi Arabian Football Federation where president Kalyan Chaubey and secretary general Shaji Pravakaran were present.
