India holds 1-1 draw with Singapore in a friendly match

Indian National Football Team has failed to beat Singapore in a friendly match today atThống Nhất Stadium, Vietnam inHUNG THINH City friendly football tournament. India holds a 1-1 draw with Singapore in today's match. Though India had most of the possession they lacked their chances in the final third.

India had their first chance in 19 minutes of the match, when Liston Colaco takes a long ranger attempt, but it saved by opposition goalkeeper. After some time, Singapore takes a long ball into Indian box, the striker heads it towards goalpost and Gurpreet Singh made a vital save. In 32 minute, Ashique Kuruniyan made a brilliant run in the right flank but he couldn't capitalise it to a goal. 

But in 36th minute, Singapore takes the lead through a free kick, goal scored by Ikhsan Fandi. After conceding the goal Indian team looks furious. And before the first half ends, Ashique Kuruniyan scored the equaliser for India by placing the ball beneath the opposition keeper calmly. 

In the second half, Indian team dominates the whole game but couldn't find a goal to beat Singapore. Once Sunil Chhetri's header saved, Liston and Ishan Pandita's  shot went off target, and a bad free kick. India had many chances but failed to score goal against low FIFA ranking team Singapore. India will face Vietnam on 27th September in the next match of this tournament.
